Bio
Tiberiu Andrei Simţion (sim-tzee-awn)
born December 4th 1987 in Bucharest, Romania.
I studied painting and pottery for six years since first grade. After that I hung up my artistic skills, and in highschool I took the road of computer science, taking pleasure in the ability of having machines work for me. And I still do.
I didn’t have a crappy film camera to play with when I was little. Nor a fancy Polaroid in my teen years. I actualy ran from people who were holding cameras. I discovered the satisfaction of the shutter button only after three years of highschool, for the sole purpouse of capturing moments of joy for all eternity. My anoying perfectionism kicked in and made a playground out of photography. I walked the door of many dedicated circles since, meddling with the idea of becoming a full-time photographer, but I couldn’t quite cope with making a living out of creating images. I think the reason for that is me believing that anything related to art cannot be created on demand. And I have no intention of changing my mind any time soon.
I don’t think anyone could ever teach me something about images just for the sake of me knowing. But I do think I’ll learn about them for as long as I’ll have eyes to enjoy’em.
